  Day 1, Monday April 18: Transatlantic flight
Depart today towards Seville, Spain with complimentary meals during the flight.
     
 

Day 2, Tuesday April 19: Seville
Arrive into Seville airport. After a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city, transfer to your hotel for an overview of the Holy Week activities. The rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy a welcome drink with appetizers before your welcome dinner to meet fellow travelers. Overnight in Seville. (WD)

     
 

Day 3, Wednesday April 20: Seville
Experience some of the Holy Week activities. Afterwards embark on a sightseeing tour of the city with visits to the Cathedral and its side chapel containing the remains of King St. Ferdinand and Christopher Columbus; the Reales Alcazares, the residence of Spanish kings for almost seven centuries; and the Basilica of the Macarena. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (BB, D)

     
 

Day 4, Thursday April 21: Seville
Experience
some of the Holy Week activities. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner is on your own to sample some of the local Andalucian cuisine. Overnight in Seville. (BB)

     
 

Day 5, Friday April 22: Seville
Full day in Seville to participate in the Holy Week activities. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (BB, D)

     
 

Day 6, Saturday April 23: Seville - Granada
This morning depart towards beautiful Granada. Upon arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Alhambra and the Generalife, the palace of the Nasrid kings when they ruled Granada; the Cathedral, a jewel of Renaissance architecture, and its Royal Chapel containing the remains of the Catholic Kings Ferdinand and Isabella; and St. John of God Basilica, housing the relics of the saint. Dinner and overnight in Granada. (BB, D)

     
 

Day 7, Sunday April 24: Granada - Cordoba - Toledo
Depart Granada and head to Cordoba. In Cordoba, visit the Mezquita: originally a Roman temple, then a Visigoth Basilica, a mosque, and finally a Gothic cathedral; and the Alcazar of the Catholic Kings, where they met Christopher Columbus as he prepared to take his first voyage to the Americas. In the afternoon, depart to Toledo for dinner and overnight. (BB, D)

     
 

Day 8, Monday April 25: Toledo
This morning enjoy a walking tour of downtown Toledo will include: the cathedral, including the treasury, sacristy, choir, and the cloister; St. Leocadia Basilica, built over the house of the martyr, patron saint of Toledo; and the Christ of La Vega, a crucifix whose arm is lowered to attest to a young maiden’s claim to a promise of marriage. Spend the rest of the day visiting one or several of the countless religious and cultural sights which Toledo has to offer. Overnight in Toledo. (BB)

     
 

Day 9, Tuesday April 26: Toledo - Avila
Today travel to Avila, the birthplace of St. Teresa. Upon arrival enjoy a sightseeing tour of Avila including: its cathedral, one of the most beautiful in Spain; the Convent of St. Teresa, built on the site of the saint's home; and the Convent of the Incarnation, where St. Teresa lived for more than 20 years. Also visit St. Vincent Basilica, which houses the remains of St. Vincent, martyr. Dinner and overnight in Avila. (BB, D)

     
 

Day 10, Wednesday April 27: Avila: Excursion to Segovia
Today’s excursion begins with one of the most spectacular sited cities in Spain, Segovia.  Its cathedral is the last great Gothic church in Spain. At the city’s western end is the Alcazar towering over the city. From there, visit the cave where St. Dominic of Guzman prayed and did penance near the site where he founded the first Spanish Dominican monastery. Finally, visit the convent of discalced Carmelites founded in 1576 by St. John of the Cross. Return to Avila for dinner and overnight. (BB, D)

     
  Day 11, Thursday April 28: Avila - El Escorial - Madrid
On the way to Madrid today, stop is at El Escorial, the imposing palatial complex built in honor of St. Lawrence in the XVI Century. Inside are housed a magnificent cathedral, an impressive library, and a museum. Upon arrival in Madrid, visit the Monastery of the Incarnation, an Augustinian convent, where a wealth of relics can be venerated, including the blood of St. Januarius. Dinner and overnight in Madrid. (BB, D)
   

 

  Day 12, Friday April 29: Madrid
Today’s sightseeing begins at the Church of St. Isidore, housing the remains of Spain’s patron, St. Isidore the farmer and of his wife, St. Maria de la Cabeza. The church is built over their house, and a miraculous well, with which St. Isidore performed a miracle, is located under the altar. Then visit the Franciscan Monastery of the Discalced Royals founded in 1560. The rest of the day is at leisure. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate the success of such a wonderful pilgrimage. (BB, FD)
     
 

Day 13: Transatlantic flight back to the US
Transfer to Madrid's airport for your flight back to the US.
